At 16 ºC, 1g is soluble in 14.5l water, 1.4L boiling water, easily soluble in ammonia and sodium hydroxide solution, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in organic solvents, heated and decomposed without melting point, and partially sublimated. At pH 6, the maximum absorption wavelength is 267nm, ε 10250, minimum absorption wavelength 240nm, absorbance ratio A250 / a260 = 0.57, A280 / a260 = 0.61, A290 / a260 = 0.07. At pH 10, the maximum absorption wavelength is 277.5nm and 240.5nm, the molar absorption coefficients are 9300 and 8900 respectively, the minimum absorption wavelength is 257nm, and the absorbance ratios A250 / a260 = 1.29, A280 / a260 = 1.71 and A290 / a260 = 0.92.
