Properties (the following information is for reference only): white to off white to yellow crystalline powder. Soluble in water: 100mg / ml. A link in the tricarboxylic acid cycle. It is produced from malic acid under the catalysis of malate dehydrogenase. It condenses with acetyl coenzyme A to produce citric acid and starts a new cycle. Under the action of pyruvate carboxylase, it is generated from pyruvate and CO2. In addition, it is also generated from aspartic acid under the action of transaminase (EC 2.6.1.1).

Purpose: This product is only for scientific research and shall not be used for other purposes. (the following uses are for reference only) substrates of citrate synthase and malate dehydrogenase. They can also be used as inhibitors of succinate dehydrogenase
