is a highly specific protease that recognizes the sequence of ASP ASP ASP Lys and hydrolyzes polypeptide at the C-terminal of Lys. It can transform trypsinogen into pancreatin, or it can cut the fusion protein with this recognition sequence. Because of its high specificity and high hydrolysis efficiency, enterokinase has been widely used in the development of genetic engineering products. One of its applications is as a tool protease for the specific cleavage of recombinant fusion protein, especially for the bioengineering pharmaceutical industry and the research of gene engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc.
