Properties: light yellow to yellow crystalline powder. Melting point 181-182 ºC (decomposition). Slightly soluble in ethanol and very slightly soluble in water. Stable in air, darkened in sunlight and easy to be damaged in alkali solution.

Application: biochemical research, it is a broad-spectrum antibiotic extracted from the culture medium of Streptomyces crassiform. Its antibacterial spectrum, antibacterial effect and application are basically the same as tetracycline and aureomycin.
