Character: white crystal. Soluble in hot water and hot lye, slightly soluble in cold water and hot ethanol. At 25 ºC, the solubility is about 0.6% in water, 0.1% in ethanol and 2.4% in dimethylformamide. Its sodium, potassium, ammonium salts and organic phosphorus salts are easily soluble in water. Toxicity: low toxicity, LD50 (rat, oral) 3800-6800mg / kg

Purpose: biochemical research. Selective herbicides and temporary plant growth inhibitors. It can enter the plant through the leaf cuticle, reduce photosynthesis, osmotic pressure and evaporation, and strongly inhibit the growth of buds. It can prevent potatoes, onions, garlic and radishes from sprouting during storage, inhibit crop growth and prolong flowering, and can also be used for weeding in non cultivated land.
