Uses: biochemical research, widely used in molecular biology, pharmacology and other scientific research. Almost all of them are converted into 6-mercaptopurine in vivo. Because its transformation process is slow, it plays a role slowly. It can inhibit Friend leukemia, inhibit virus infection in mice, inhibit splenomegaly, and reduce virus titer in spleen and plasma. Weight loss, severe anemia and reticulocyte increase occurred in rats after long-term intraperitoneal injection of this product for 4 ~ 5 months. The administration of this drug in rabbits in early pregnancy can cause teratogenesis, mainly affecting the development of limbs. It can have immunosuppressive effect by interfering with RNA metabolism. If a small dose exists in the culture medium for a long time, it can inhibit the killing effect of sensitized lymphocytes in vitro.
