Properties: white or almost white crystalline powder. Slightly soluble in water, dilute hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide solution, very slightly soluble in alcohol. Odorless, slightly bitter. Dissolve 1.6g in 100ml water at 20 ºC. Slightly soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid and alkali hydroxide solution, it is easy to hydrolyze in dilute inorganic acid to produce hypoxanthine and D-ribose. White acicular crystal. It tastes slightly bitter. Very slightly soluble in ethanol. At pH 6, the maximum absorption wavelength is 248.5nm, ε 12200, minimum absorption wavelength 223nm, absorbance ratio A250 / a260 = 1.68, A280 / a260 = 0.25, A290 / a260 = 0.03. LD50 (rat, abdominal cavity) 2900mg / kg
